PLEASE NOTE: The 2008 Symposium Location has been changed to the Crawford County 4-H Fairgrounds!!!
The purpose of the annual event is to gather the active caving groups together to share and discuss their projects, and for cavers and cave researchers to network. Speakers for the symposium are solicited from caving groups within Indiana and neighboring states. The emphasis is on exploration, surveying, science, and conservation projects. It is preferred that the talks be on activities within Indiana, however, exceptions are made if the caving group's most significant project is outside the state. This is an excellent way of showing off your grotto's recent projects.
The 2008 IC Symposium will again be co-sponsored by the
IKC and ICS. It will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2008
at the Crawford County 4-H Fairgrounds, in the
Clover Room. Please note: Due to flood damage, we will not be holding any of the
event at the Milltown Community Center as originally planned.
We will begin at 5:00 PM EDT with a pitch-in dinner.
The ICS and the Indiana Karst Conservancy will provide hot dogs, burgers,
cheese, buns, paper plates, plastic ware, napkins, condiments, soft drinks and
ice. Attendees are asked to bring a pitch-in side-dish to share.
Presentations will begin at 7:00 PM EDT.
We look forward to seeing you all there!
