Time for a Human Sciences Section Session during the 2001
National
Speleological Society National Convention has been requested.
Tentatively, the meeting time requested is Tuesday afternoon, although
that is subject to change.
The meeting agenda, so far, will include the following:
I. Presentation of papers
We have one paper submitted to date.
II. Business Meeting
Election of officers
Budget report
Discussion of dues - should we have them or
not
Discussion of ideas for section efforts for
the future
People Underground newsletter - what
should we do
Other
Please send
agenda items to CICCIA@WOODARD.LATECH.EDU
or
post them to the Section Newsgroup at Egroups.
This is a first call for submission of proposals for
presentations at
the 2001 NSS National Convention. Please send brief descriptions to
Charles F. Cicciarella, at 1105 Robinette Dr., Ruston, LA 71270, or by
email to CICCIA@WOODARD.LATECH.EDU
or CICCIA@BAYOU.COM.
Although arrangements have not yet been formalized, we should have a
session of approximately 90 minutes during which presentations can be
made. As we do not expect a large number of presentations, we can be
quite flexible on the amount of time needed.
If you will need more than an overhead projector for your
presentation, please plan on bringing the needed equipment yourself.
We will try to obtain other items needed but there can be no promises
at this time.
In addition to reports of completed studies, proposals for needed
research or reports of studies in progress are also appropriate for
presentation, as long as they relate, in some way, to the Human
Sciences in caving.
