
The Southwestern Region of the NSS grant program provides small grants
to individuals/organizations for cave/karst scientific research and/or
cave conservation purposes. Grants range from less than $100 to around
$600. The SWR can provide one or two grants per year or none. The
deadline for applying for a grant is September 30th. All applications
will be considered by the SWR Executive Committee. The committee will
present their recommendations to the SWR membership at the Winter
Technical meeting (usually the first weekend in December). The
membership will have the final vote on the grants for that year.
Organizations or individuals can apply for a grant using the SWR Grant Application Form. Or an SWR member can use the Grant Request Form to request a grant for a worthwhile cave or karst-related project. Print out the appropriate form for your request. Completed applications/request forms should be mailed to:
