The Southeastern Regional
Association (SERA) of the National Speleological Society (NSS)
is a regional
organization made up of all the NSS organizations (caving grottos (clubs) and surveys) in the
Southeastern portion of the United States of America. The SERA region
includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South
Carolina, and Tennessee. The purpose of SERA is to further the aims of
the NSS in the Southeast.
If you are interested in caving, contact your
nearest caving organization to find out more information about caving.
If you are in the Southeastern U.S., check out the SERA Organizations, otherwise, contact the the National Speleological Society.
Please cave safely and responsibly - check out Cave Conservation, Cave Safety, and Closed
Cave Lists. Local grottos (caving clubs) will be able to help you
with these ideals.
White Nose Syndrome
White Nose
Syndrome (WNS) is continuing to spread towards the SERA region. All are
encourged to follow the caving moratoria in WNS-infected areas and to
follow the decontamination guidelines. Stay up to date with all the
