Labor Day Weekend 2005, September 2 - 5

The 2005 Rocky Mountain Regional

This years regional will be held over Labor Day Weekend beginning Friday the 2nd until Monday the 5th of September. Most cave trips this year will be somewhat limited by group size and the number of trips to each cave. Many require basic vertical skills and equipment, and others are limited by the fragile nature of the cave. We will do our best to get everyone underground, but appreciate your cooperation and patience to help us make sure that everyone gets the chance to do some caving.

Utah has a wide variety of karst areas, from deep alpine caves to well decorated desert caves to spectacular lava tubes. Caves have been chosen to accommodate both the hard core, family, and armchair caver. For more information on some of the feature caves go to the "Activities" tab of this site. It is our hope that this year's regional will be fun and exciting for everyone, with three days of great stories, great company, great competitions, and of course great caving. Funds raised from this event will be used in cave exploration, conservation, and education throughout Utah and the Rocky Mountain Region.
