Vertical Contests

Friday night from 8:00 to 10:00 vertical contests will be held at Pink Lime Pit, just a few minutes from camp. There will be two different types of contests; non-obstacle ascents and an the caver's obstacle course rappel/ascent. The non-obstacle ascent will be a timed 60 foot ascent for children (6-15), seniors(60+), and beginner cavers (with less than 300 feet of vertical practice) . The cavers obstacle course will be a timed obstacle course where the participant with have to cross both a knot and a bolt on rappel and ascent. Those who wish to participate are encouraged to go up and down a couple of times before competing. All are welcome to participate in the caver obstacle course. Awards will be presented for the fastest in each category at the Saturday night dinner. Details will be available at the registration booth.
