Mid-Appalachian Region of ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETING Besides the 2 field meets per year, the Mid-Appalachian Region (MAR) has an annual business meeting, generally the last Saturday in the month of February, in which the MAR Board and regional grotto representatives, and other organizations, convene. The purpose is to generally take care of old and new business along with the discussion of finances, field meets, publications, conservation efforts, and other items of interest. Following the MAR annual business meeting, the Pennsylvania Cave Conservancy (PCC) also has their meeting to discuss various cave related business and to interact with the MAR Board and representatives. The next MAR business meeting will be February 27, 2010 at 1:30 pm.
From the East on Route 322:
From the West on Route 322: Once on Mushroom Hill Road, proceed North one block to Greyson Road (T-intersection) and turn left. Travel one block West and turn right onto a bridge which crosses the railroad tracks. Travel North crossing the bridge and turn right onto Derry Street. Proceed East following Derry Street to 67th Street, which will be a left hand turn up the hill. Follow the inset on the map to reach Jay Herbein's residence. Note: If you are driving from the West on I-83 North, there is no exit at Derry Street. Use the Route 322 East Exit to Hershey.
