The Society will provide all authors contributing articles to
the Journal 20 reprints without cost.

Beginning with Volume 58, the Journal shall consist
of three issues each year.

A page charge of not less than $25 is authorized per printed
page of articles appearing in the Journal. Payment of
these charges will not be required of authors whose research was
not sponsored by a funding agency or institution and of authors
whose budgets do not include money earmarked to subsidize
publication. Inability to pay page charges will not be a
consideration in final acceptance of a paper for publication in
the JOURNAL. Page charges shall be instituted with the January
1975 issue. The editor of the JOURNAL shall set the amount of the
page charge.

Each issue of the Journal shall have a press run at
least 25 copies greater than the total number of copies mailed of
the previous NSS News issue, to provide copies for future sale
and complimentary distribution.

The name of the BULLETIN is changed to THE
JOURNAL OF CAVE AND KARST STUDIES, The National Speleological
Society Bulletin, effective with Volume 58.

The Editor of the Journal shall be the
Chairman of the Journal Committee in the Department of the
Executive Vice-President. The committee shall also include
Associate Editors and a Production Editor who is confirmed by the
Board of Governors. The budgeted honorarium for the Journal
shall be distributed in a manner determined by the Executive
Vice-President.

The National Speleological Society requires all
authors to grant a non-exclusive copyright to the NSS prior to
publication of their manuscripts in The Journal of Cave and
Karst Studies unless they place the paper in the public
domain.

The subscription rate for the Journal of Cave and Karst Studies sent to domestic addresses is set at 10% less that the Associate Membership dues rounded to the nearest dollar. International rates are the domestic rate plus the postage surcharge as set for members with Mexican and Canadian addresses.
