Membership Information

Membership

If you are interested in joining the ISS, you should contact the Member Liaison.  Membership in the Illinois Speleological Survey (ISS) is by application to the ISS board.  Dues are $5 per year and are payable once you have been notified of your membership status.

Application for membership consists of writing a letter (email works for this) to the Member Liaison stating your support/agreement to the Principles of the ISS as outlined in the Constitution and By-Laws of the ISS.  All membership letters must be presented to the board by the Member Liaison to be granted membership in the ISS.

Current members and/or lapsed members should contact the ISS Treasurer for their dues payments.  Dues are due on January 1st of each year.

Members with changes of address or other contact information corrections should contact the Member Liasion.


Communications with members and event announcements

The issxchng is an email remailer for those interested in speleology, caves and karst relating to Illinois. It is a means for subscribers to inform other subscribers of events, publications, and other items of interest relating to Illinois' karst resources. ISS sponsored events are generally announced on the issxchng prior to posting on the ISS website.

The issxchng is not run or owned by the ISS but is provided as a service to the ISS and interested parties by a member of the ISS. To subscribe send an email to Majordomo@lists.umsl.edu with the phrase "subscribe issxchng" in the body of the message. All subscribers must agree to terms of use provided by the issxchng's administrator.
