The National Cave Rescue Commission , a commission of the National Speleological Society, is a volunteer group developed to coordinate cave rescue resources thoughout the United States. In 2004, the NCRC presented a weekend-long orientation to cave rescue in Barneveld, Wisconsin. The first day consisted of classroom and outdoor exercises at Barneveld High School. Cavers participated in a mock rescue in a cave on the second day.
