Neffs Cave Trip - There are 2 openings. The details will be shared Thursday, October 15, at Peter Hartley’s vertical training. A high level of vertical caving skills needed.

| BLOWHOLE CAVE, NUTTY PUTTY CAVE & SILLY PUTTY CAVE |
NOVEMBER 7, 2009 - This is a Timpanogos Grotto special event for our members and their guests. Tour 3 caves in a single day. |
LIMITED SIZE - Due to the nature of the Blowhole Cave, the group size is limited to just 6 cavers per trip. To deal with the demand, we are going to stagger groups into the cave every 2 hours.The first will enter at 9 AM and be set to exit by 11 AM. The next group will enter at 11 AM and be set to exit by 1 PM. The third group will then enter at 1 PM and exit by 3 PM. |
VERTICAL SKILLS - Blowhole Cave requires vertical caving experience. If you need training, then speak up and we will schedule a time to learn how to do it before the day of the tour. |
ABOVE GROUND BBQ - We will take out a campstove, griddle, and water pot so that hot chocolate and food can be prepared and devoured at the surface of the cave. It may be beautiful, or it might be snowing. This is a rain or shine event. Trip Leaders can make food assignements for their groups. |
ADDED BONUS - NUTTY PUTTY & SILLY PUTTY - We have reserved time at the Nutty Putty Cave for those groups that also want to bebop over to the next hill and explore these two caves.This side trip is totally optional and up to the groups to decide, but we have paved the way.This will also be the very first day that we will allow groups to tour Silly Putty Cave.Silly Putty has been closed for a couple of years now and we thought it would be great for the Timpanogos Grotto members to have the first experience with it being re-opened. |

So far we have Max Barker and Kent Foreman slated as Trip Leaders. The time slot reservations and groups are still very loose with many people expressing interest, but not yet signed up for the event. Sign up now. |
| FEE - The trip is FREE for Grotto members. We ask that you share the burden of travel expenses and bring your fair share of the meal that you will enjoy together. |
