How to Join the SJVG

     We like to say that there are ten requirements to join the grotto and George Washington's picture is on every one of them. We do not "require" anything. If you wish to receive our monthly publication and be included in caving trips and/or other SJVG functions, then just send ten big ones to the P.O. Box listed on the main page. That will get you a whole year of grotto membership. If your only interest is in receiving The Subterranean Voice, we have a subscription only price of $8.00 per year.

     The SJVG is an Internal Organization of the National Speleological Society. All grotto members are required to maintain a membership in the NSS to be voting members of the SJVG.

     Recreational caving, vertical caving, cave surveying, cave conservation efforts, cave photography, out-of-state cave trips, international caving expeditions, camp-outs, parties, friendship and being lost in the woods are all part of the SJVG. We have a scheduled grotto trip each month. Someone in the grotto goes caving nearly every weekend. If you are interested please contact us.
