Meetings The Nittany Grotto meets jointly with the Nittany Grotto Caving Club (NGCC) every other Wednesday, beginning with the first day of classes of each semester, at 7:00 pm in Room 114 of the Earth-Engineering Sciences (EES) building. The EES building is located on White Course Drive near the intersection with Atherton Street on the main campus of Penn State University, State College, PA. Grotto meetings are not normally held during Winter Break and/or Spring Break during the academic year, however, meetings are generally held throughout the Summer months. The general meetings consists of the Caving Club business meeting and a program. The general Nittany Grotto Meetings for the 2012 Spring Semester will take place on the following dates at 7:00 PM:
February 8 and 22 March 21 April 4 and 18 May 2(?) ** Meetings will also continue every other Wednesday evening throughout the Summer months as usual. After the general meeting, the grotto usually moves to a member's residence for the "After Meeting Meeting", commonly referred to as the "AMM". The host generally supplies various snacks and other goodies, while each attendee typically supplies their own favorite beverage. Besides the general meetings held throughout the academic year, Nittany Grotto also holds an annual membership business meeting where officers are elected and to conduct business that may come before the Board. Any business that may occur between the annual business meeting is conducted directly by the Board members. The annual membership / business meeting is open to the public. The next Annual Nittany Grotto Membership Business Meeting will be held around June 2012 at a place yet to be determined.
