Northern Arizona Grotto is a (501) (c) (3),  non-profit, tax exempt organization.

The purpose of this organization is to promote fellowship among persons interested in: caves, conserving caves and cave life, and specifically to engage in; research, monitoring, restoration, surveying,  exploring, conservation, and developing good caving ethics.

Since it's inception on February 8th, 1997, the Grotto has consistently produced a Newsletter, the Northern Arizona Grotto Rag,(NAG RAG), distributed monthly to it's one hundred thirty five members, both nationally and internationally

Also, we have obtained a $1,000,000 liability insurance policy for members involved in grotto, National Park Service, and United States Forest Service related projects.

International Membership is  encouraged as a means to broaden our relationship with, and understanding of, cavers and caves from around the world, and to foster camaraderie and the study of speleology in general.

If you agree with the purpose of the Northern Arizona Grotto, and wish to become involved in caving, and would like to join the grotto, please fill out the grotto application/waiver .

 Membership is open to all persons over the age of 18. If you are under 18, you must have signed parental permission.

Meetings are held the third Friday of every month at various members homes. Start of meeting is 7:30 pm. Directions are posted in the preceding months Newsletter. Also, you can contact any Grotto officer for directions.
