Meetings

    Six meetings are held yearly on the second Saturday of the following months:
February, April, June, August, October and December at a member's
home somewhere in Michigan. A short business meeting at 8:00 PM  is usually
followed by a program - talks, instruction in caving techniques or cave science,
 slides or video presentations are popular plus plenty of time to socialize.
Cave trips will be planned in the months that meetings are not being held.

  If you are considering a MIG membership but are unsure if this is something
you would like to be involved with, please feel free to join us at one of our monthly
meetings. There you can get to know some of the grotto members, ask questions, and
basically see what we are all about. If nothing else you can help eat the food and
goodies that are provided so that the meeting host won't have so many leftovers.

Upcoming Meetings / Trips:

GROTTO PICNIC,   June 12th.  2004

The Grotto picnic will be June 12th at George's place in Reed City.
 It will be preceeded by a Convention committee meeting at 2:00 PM,
 with the picnic beginning around 4:00 PM. Come anytime after 2 -- there will
be plenty of activities even if you're not planning the NSS's biggest event.

Directions are:

From the North or South, fine US131, Exit at US10, Reed City Exit. Head to the
East until you get to 155th street.  Turn to the south on 155th street
 and stop at Craft Road. Turn to the East (that's to your left you silly cavers!) and
 keep drive'n like you stole it until you get to Meadow Lane.
Go Right, actually veer 45 deg ... anyway keep going until you reach Indian Trail.
Turn right on Indian trail and then at thebend you will see #3234 plastered on some
mailbox on the left side of the road. This is Georges place. Park wherever.
From the East or West, get to US10 and follow the drection starting
 with "Turn to the south on 155th street" above.
