Regular Meeting

February 26, 2008

The February meeting of the James River Grotto was held on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at the Warren House ground floor activity room at Lynchburg College.

Board Meeting:

The board meeting began at 6:30 PM. Board members present were Mike Frazier, Paul Stern, Melanie Stern, Matt Lair, and Chuck Waller. At the board meeting it was decided to purchase (7) new helmets and lights. Thanks to Paul Stern for ordering this new equipment for the grotto.

General Meeting:

The general meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM. LC Student member Laura Bianca was also in attendance.

Welcome Visitors: There were no visitors.

Trip Reports: Paul Stern gave a trip report on the Lynchburg College midnight trip to Porter's Cave.

Previous Meeting Minutes Update: None

Finance Report: Current treasury balance is $3,535.16

Committee Reports:

Membership: Paul Stern, Membership Chairperson, had new grotto membership packets available for review.

Website: Webmaster, Melanie Stern has done an incredible job redesigning our website. Be sure to check it out.

Trips and Events:

The 2008 Fall VAR will be September 19, 20 & 21.

General Discussion:

Details regarding the Fall VAR were discussed.

Meeting Adjournment:

The meeting was adjourned at 8:15PM.
