the exploration, preservation, and study of Iowa caves since 1949.

In order to facilitate the operation and business of the organization the Iowa Grotto has three executive officers and four appointed officers. Executive officers are the Chairman, Vice-Chairman, and Secretary-Treasurer, and each serves a one-year term after being elected by other Grotto members.

The current executive officers are:

Mike Lace, Chairman
Ed Klausner, Vice-Chairman
Phil LaRue, Secretary-Treasurer

The current appointed officers are:

Doug Schmuecker, Grotto Safety Officer
Chris Beck, Grotto Conservation Officer
Ed Klausner, Grotto Librarian
Phil LaRue, Grotto Librarian

The Iowa Grotto also has the following non-officer positions:

Scott Dankof, INTERCOM Editor
Joe Dixon, Web Site Coordinator
