SERA 2012 Winter Business Meeting, Feb 11th, 9:00am - REMINDER
 

The SERA Winter Business Meeting Will be Held February 11th at Gunterville State Park, AL. There Will be a Banquet Following the Meeting where Rick Finch from Cookeville, TN will be the Guest Speaker. He Will be Doing a Presentation, Imaginatively Titled, “Caving in Some Highly Unusual Caves”. Larry Matthews and Dave Hughes Will be Available for a Book Signing.

Karst-O-Rama July 20-22, 2012 ---- Registration is Open
 

Greater Cincinnati Grotto is putting the “Karst” back into Karst-O-Rama for our 20th year at Great Saltpetre Cave Preserve in Mt. Vernon, KY!

Registration is limited to NSS/Grotto members only with the option to sponsor up to a total of three (3) non-member guests. Cave trips and many family-friendly activities. : Website and like us on facebook for more info and updates.

Alabama Cave Survey (ACS) Meeting
 

The annual meeting of the Alabama Cave Survey (ACS) will be held Saturday, April 21st at the Scottsboro Public Library, which is located at 1002 S. Broad Street, Scottsboro, Alabama. The meeting will begin at 9:00 AM CST in the conference room of the library.

North Alabama Sierra Club Goes Caving
 

November 5th Jennifer Pinkley of the Huntsville Grotto and Carolyn Brooks of the North Alabama Sierra Club lead an exploration of the hidden world beneath the earth's surface of Limrock Cave. They scrambled and crawled up/down/around rocks to see interesting formations. They learned about the cave's inhabitants and threats to their environment. Click to See Pictures
