Once a new cave is discovered, the Bucks County Grotto helps to preserve it. The Grotto has been able to educate landowners with caves on their properties -- teaching them about cave conservation, and helping them with any problems associated with the caves. This sometimes includes installing locked gates to keep out amateur explorers who might damage the cave or injure themselves.
