| In 1958 this was Pennsylvania's most beautiful cave. | Today no formations exist in this once spectacular cave. |
Caves are fragile environments that take an incredible amount of time to form. It can take eons for the stalactites, stalagmites and other speleothems to grow, but only a few seconds for a vandal or reckless caver to destroy nature’s handy craft. Once the speleothems are reduced to rubble the damage is done, there is no way for man to restore their beauty.
