The June meeting was held at Vince Kappler's house in Newton NJ. Among the topics discussed were the status of the Leigh Cave proposal, the work on the Crooked Swamp renewal, the proposed changes to the Sportsman's Law of New Jersey to include 'caving' and thoughts on future acquisitions for the NJCC.

Because so much is going on, I've set up a new 'Business Page' to keep track of it all. Click on the link to the left.

The next meeting will be on Tuesday July 27, 2004 at the home of John Tudek in Scotch Plains N.J. Directions will follow shortly.

There is an article in www.njskylands.com about Faery Hole Cave in Warren County. Faery Hole is a nice rock-shelter sized cave and is important as an archaeological site. There is also an oblique reference to Jenny Jump Rock Shelter and Fairly Low. I've been to the former and never quite been able to find the latter. The article can be found here

There are new procedures to follow if you want to go to Crooked Swamp. Please email John Tudek or Tom Schroth  to learn them.

A new website needs to grow. One of the best ways it can grow and look professional is through the judicious use of photography. Since the Crooked Swamp status is the more stable one, that cave's history and description will go up first. If anyone has photos of Crooked Swamp, be they old or new, that they would like to send my way, I'll will happily accept them. All photos will, of course, be credited. You can either email photos to me here or give them to me at tuesday's meeting.
