A total of 14 symbolic emblem designs were entered this year, 3 more than 2004's 11 entries. This year's designs were created on a wide variety of media including stickers, patches, a pin, a calendar, a water bottle, posters, and the 2005 Convention logo design on various items (beer mug, tote bag, pin, patch, stickers, name tag, and lanyard). The designs were evaluated for impact, artistic rendition, caver appeal, and technical quality.
