Informal Cave Conservancies    Cave Conservancy Home A list of organizations, informal groups, and people with conservation components in their cave management plans.  Those listed here are technically not cave conservancies in the traditional sense; they do have some of the functions of cave conservancies.  The NSS supports all constructive efforts to manage caves and will assist those as appropriate within its means.

Buddy Penley Cave Bland County, VA		Lynn Richardson Doug Perkins		lynn@blueridge.com	Lynn and Doug bought the cave to preserve it's natural resources (bats, amphipods, historical saltpetre mining artifacts) and to keep it open for cavers. It is closed from October until April to protect a significant bat colony.
