The National Caves Association presents this award for the best paper related to a show cave given by an NSS member at the national convention. The winner is chosen at the convention by a committee consisting of National Caves Association members and one member of the NSS Awards Committee. The award includes a check for $100.00 to the recipient from the National Caves Association.
